TEAGUE BOUNDED inside Adrian’s home, a wide grin on his handsome face. “Hi!”

“Hi. Come in.” Adrian held up a beer and three movies, brow raised in question. Because he didn’t want to sit at home, alone, moping that Simon was out having fun without him, Adrian had decided to invite Teague over to hang out. Well, that and to see if he could pry into Teague and Airy’s love life.

He knew Teague was in love with Airy, but Airy was oblivious and still sleeping with everything that moved that would stay still long enough to bed. Adrian had tried to convince Teague to just tell Airy, but his friend never listened. Honestly, he understood Teague’s reasoning; Airy didn’t believe in love. Or that’s what he claimed. Love was for other people, Airy said; he wasn’t ready to settle down. Blah!

“Movies?” Teague snagged the beer from Adrian’s hand, his smile never dimming.

“You have a better idea?” Adrian didn’t. He wanted something to help him keep his mind off Simon. And clubs. And Simon out at the clubs. Probably wearing something too sexy for public consumption.

Teague stared at Adrian a moment but then nodded. “Yes. Tell me what has you nervous. Why isn’t your sweetheart here instead of me?”

Dammit! That wasn’t what he wanted to focus on. “Simon is out with Dale and Chase at a dance club. No, I don’t know the name. Now,” Adrian signed and then pointed to the movies he’d chosen. “Blow shit up, kill everybody, or save the world?”

Ignoring Adrian, Teague raised one brow and stared at him. After a moment he signed, “Did you tell him his going out would bother you? And why are you upset? He’s Hearing and likes to dance. That’s normal as far as I know.”

Adrian glowered at Teague, not appreciating the questions or statements. He knew it was normal for Simon to want to go dancing with his friends. Honestly, he was glad to know Simon was going out with his friends again, having learned how much Simon had retreated into himself after his last bad breakup. None of that was the problem, though, not that Adrian believed for even a moment that he had a right to say anything to Simon about his going out. He wasn’t even certain why it bothered him, honestly. Simon wasn’t the kind to sleep around while they were dating.

“No, I did not. He has every right to hang out with his friends, and while I don’t know that I trust Dale, I know Chase will watch out for Simon.”

Now if he could get his heart to listen to his head.

He didn’t like the way Teague looked him over, as if he was trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube or something. Eventually Teague gave a tight nod. “Have you told him you know about his family and money yet?”

He should have invited Airy over instead. “No. I’ve only seen him a couple of times since you and Airy bullied me into snooping.”

“Keeping secrets is never a good thing.
